Coaches, Managers + Umpires

Coaches play an important role not only in sporting life, but also the everyday life of the players they coach.  They influence not only the development of netball skills and performance but the development of our girls as people and their approach to other aspects of their life.

The Club and our Coaching Coordinators invites new and current coaches to apply for coaching roles for all teams NetSetGO, Juniors and Seniors in Season 2022.   We also welcome applications from older junior and senior girls who may be interested in assisting with younger teams. 

An annual application process is in place to;

• Ensure we have the best coaches for Cockburn Netball Club teams to develop our players in a positive netball environment; and
• Enable all parents and interested parties have an opportunity to coach Cockburn Netball Club teams.

Coaching Accreditation & Working With Children Check

All coaches must have completed (or be prepared to obtain before the commencement of the 2024 season) the approved Foundation Coach Accreditation Course which can be completed online by following the below link.  https://wa.netball.com.au/coach/coach-accreditation/foundation/

Coaches must obtain a Working with Children Check if they are over 18 years old and not a parent.  This must be provided to the club prior to the season commencing. The Cockburn Netball Club will reimburse your accreditation and WWC out of pocket expenses.

Coaching Training Sessions

Coaches requiring any specialist sessions for teams during the year, please email coaching@cockburnnetballclub.net and advise what skills or sessions you would like to have covered.  After we have received this information, we can appoint a specialist coach to attend your session with the necessary skills and drills to run your session.

 Regular coaching clinics run by experienced Cockburn coaches

• Reimbursement of fees to attend FNA and Netball WA coaching courses and clinics
• Cockburn Netball Club coaching t-shirt
• Mentoring by experienced Cockburn coaches and Coordinators
• Assistant and Apprentice Coaches
• Team Manager for each team will assist with administrative duties
